It is difficult to say how much the money will help the workers.

All of the group’s member workers work in the mine.

They have had to pay the company for years for “subordinate actions”, including picking locks and cutting wood.

In March 2016, Sabor de Sao Paulo workers voted for a strike in which they did not ask for wage increases, which was supported by Rio-Mercato.

On Sunday, another Rio+Mercato workers’ group was preparing to strike against mining equipment at a nearby mine, but only as the group was not paid a living wage.

The group, Rio+Mercato workers, said the government should pay the workers who lost their jobs to cover the living costs they were already facing.
