Nsw north coast lifeguards warn of dangers around coastal creeks.
‘This is an alarming situation. It’s very close to my office,’ a North Coast lifeguard said.
A spokesman for the NSW Ambulance Service said it was working with the coastguard and the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Information.
A North Coast lifeguard had been seen on camera in a water rescue helicopter trying to rescue passengers from an overturned boat. The rescuers could see two people standing on a tarmac.
An Nesat lifeguard was seen at the scene, but was not injured.
He said people were warned of danger near the creeks with large numbers of kayakers using them to walk from place to place.

‘The emergency services are working together and there’s good visibility along the creeks and beaches across the region.
‘At the moment we have an area of the coast that’s not yet closed, but that area will be when it is re-opened,’ he said.
NSW Ambulance Service confirmed the Coast Guard had conducted a ‘fishing-related incident’ at Maroon Bay with no injuries and that no rescuers were injured.
A spokesman confirmed the Coast Guard had sent teams to assist.
The incident occurred at about 2.10pm when the lifeguard spotted three kayakers on the water’s edge, apparently in pursuit of a canoe.
He said two of the paddlers ran across a creek.
“He saw them from the helico바카라pter and he decided to try to rescue them and was the last paddler,” a lifeguard said.
“The paddler who was running by was quite exhausted, probably because he just ran over the head of the lifeguard and he jumped over the edge.”
One of the paddlers appeared to be unconscious, the spokesman said.
He said no children were aboard the boat and no other people were injured.
