Christopher pyne called out for taking defence job as minister after meeting PM Tony Abbott
A spokesperson for Mr Rudd said that the party was working with the Prime Minister to achieve a common policy platform.
“Mr Rudd will remain i여주출장마사지n the Government until next month,” the spokesperson said.
“His decision is a matter for the Prime Minister, who we believe will seek to have his own policy conversations as soon as possible.
“The Prime Minister can then provide his policy perspective or advice to the Opposition and cross-party MPs.”
Earlier today, Mr Abbott refused to rule out Mr Rudd staying at the top job, after meeting Mr Abbott in the Commons.
Mr Rudd is reported to be furious about being told that Mr Abbott was the l천안출장샵ikely Labor leader – and told the Speaker in particular, Bill Shorten, that he was in limbo.
“When I get the phone call and the government says they’ve got the prime minister, then who am I going to call? And they’ll do that, because I will be sitting there for hours,” the Prime Minister told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
While the PM may not like what he’s hearing, he’s obviously aware that his successor will make decisions on national security and trade.
Asked to respond to what he believes the Prime Minister was hoping for, the Opposition Leader said he had no doubt he would be a competent and g진주출장샵 진주출장안마ood prime minister.
“I have no doubts that Tony Abbott is as good a prime minister as anyone who’s ever stood in that office,” Mr Rudd told Fairfax.
“There is no need to change my belief that we will meet that mandate and be successful in the long term.
“We’ll be getting on with the job and we’ll have the political leadership in place that will make the kind of good decisions that will be needed in the short-term.”
Mr Abbott will not take the job, but said that he was hoping “to be a long-term leader”.
